A preview of the 2024 Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats
In Rocky 3 Mickey Goldmill (Burgess Meredith) told Rocky, "You Can't Win Rock!" He was speaking about a possible matchup with Clubber Lang (Mr. T). When Nikki Hendrix took over the Lynn Camp program that had finished 1-14 in 2013, it seemed to be an uphill battle (Rocky Style).
With the support of her husband Darrell Hendrix, alumni, a fanbase, and the Lynn Camp family she helped pave the way for a true underdog story, (Rocky Style). Coach Hendrix's first year started with baby steps as her Lynn Camp Wildcats finished 6-26. (Sounds like Rocky's training, as he is getting better and better).
The foundation was set, now it was time to knock the champion out. (Rocky Style) After the Worldwide pandemic in 2020, that shut most of the world down, including sports. The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats came back without missing a beat finishing 20-16, and making the 13th Region Tournament.
Now it was time April 15, 2022, The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats did something the fastpitch team had never done, by winning the 13th Region All "A" Classic. But Guess what? They were not done on the exact day, just a year later. April 15, 2023, the Lady Wildcats repeated as 13th Region All "A" Champions. Guess what? They were not done, May 23, 2023, the Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats won their first ever 13th Region Tournament Game in Fast pitch.
