(McKee, KY) A Preview Of The 2024 Jackson County Lady Generals
20 years ago, one of my favorite movies of all time was released. Dodgeball: A true Underdog Story. What does that have to do with the Jackson County fastpitch team? Please give me a second to explain, I'm a little old.
Peter La Fleur (Vince Vaughn) owned a smaller gym that was competing against a bigger gym. Average Joe's was fixing to go bankrupt until the members came together to start up a Dodgeball team, to pay off their debt. To make a long story short they beat Global Gym in the championship, and received the pot of gold.
Jackson County has been competing in a Region that is loaded with talent and holding their own. Just like the members of Peter La Fleur's gym, Jackson County Nation has come together to back, and help in any way possible. In the movie Dodgeball with everyone on board, Patches O'Houlihan (Rip Torn) led them to victory over Global Gym. Same as Head Coach Gary Tillery has installed a winning attitude to a group that is ready for the next steps. Then you have all the talented players that have put on the Jackson County jersey over the years, and what do you get? A winning program on and off the field. What is it not to love about these Lady Generals?
First off folks, go look at the facilities. Look at the beautiful area, and school. The support is second to none to anyone, look at our own page. Athletics are sky high. Look at what the football program is doing, look at what the basketball programs have been doing also, and other sports. What makes all these programs so good and competitive?
Commitment
Watch these young Lady Generals play. They are locked in and wanting to win. They are no quit with this team, and never will be.
So what about the 2024 version, let's look at it
Madison Parrett will be tough to replace, but these young Lady Generals will do it by committee.

Then it becomes a question about pitching... Candice Williams, just like in the movie Dodgeball, had a female with a rifle arm Kate Veatch (Christine Taylor), who happened to be a softball player. Look at these stats
