(Barbourville, KY) With this being coach Brandon Hillard's first season as Head Coach of the Barbourville Tigers. The greatest excitement comes from within. The program has received a great deal of support. That has illustrated that there is a buy-in from everyone to move the program forward. The kids have had a great deal of commitment since August. Whether that's work in the weight room or on the field. Since the Fall with our "open field" sessions through the official opening of season- the kids have been committed and shown significant growth.
What the Tigers need to do to improve off of last years season, we have to show up and do the job. We have looked at a couple of things as s program as to what we need to do and decided make it our covenant.
- Be Dependable
- Be the best we can possibly be at each position
- Be Selflelssl
- Execute
This covenant will be the backbone of our success.
The Tigers coming off a 11-15 record last season, they where 51st District runners-up and lost in the 13th Region Tournament first round to Clay County.
They lose 4 seniors from last years team but have more success coming back this season with only having 2 seniors. You might want to say that the season looks bright for this bunch of Tigers.
