The Middlesboro Lady Jackets were on fire on the diamond on what seemed like a perfect day for softball. Their bats were alive, and their pitching was untouchable as they cruised to a decisive 15-3 victory over the Thomas Walker Lady Pioneers.

Leading the charge in the circle was Middlesboro's own Kenna Lawson. Lawson was nearly untouchable, racking up an impressive 4 strikeouts and tossing a total of 33 strikes throughout the game. Her dominance on the mound kept the Thomas Walker batters guessing and off balance all afternoon.

But the Lady Jackets weren't just a one-woman show. At the plate, Kennedy Yoakum emerged as the offensive hero. Yoakum swung a hot bat, driving in a whopping 4 runs with a sizzling double and a booming triple. Her clutch hitting was a key factor in extending the Middlesboro lead and putting the game out of reach.

Kaylee Lawson scored after tagging up, and Kenna Lawson grounded out, each scoring one run. Kennedy Yoakum, Alexis Middleton and Kaylee Lawson each collected two hits for Middlesboro.

The entire Middlesboro team played with heart and hustle, capitalizing on scoring opportunities and putting on a defensive clinic. The final score of 15-3 reflected their complete dominance on the field.

This win is sure to be a confidence booster for the Lady Jackets as they move forward in their season. With a potent offense led by Yoakum and a nearly unhittable pitcher in Lawson, the Middlesboro Lady Jackets are a team to watch out for. They look poised for even greater things to come.
