Lady Cats roll over Williamsburg Lady Jackets

(Pineville, KY) The Williamsburg Lady Jackets travel to Log Mountain to take on the Bell County Lady Cats.

 

A double by Camdyn Thomas on a 0-2 count puts the Lady Cats on the board in the bottom of the first inning.

 

Bell County extended their early lead with four runs in the second inning thanks to a RBI error.

 

Lady Cats scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Hannah Fetters drew a walk, scoring one run, Emily Rose drew a walk, scoring one run, and error scored one run. Kenley Foster singled, scoring one run, and Jayda Boateng doubled, and scoring two runs.

 

Adyson Scott earned the win for Bell County. The Lady Cats gave up five hits and one run over six innings, striking out 13 and walking one. Kylie Monhollen took the loss for the Lady Jackets. Williamsburg went five and one-third innings, allowing 12 runs (Six earned) on 11 hits, striking out four and walking six.

 

Jasmine Stephens, Allie Wilson, Katlyn Moses, Kaydence Parker, and Brooklyn Taylor each collected one hit for the Lady Jackets. Williamsburg turned one double play in the game.

 

Bell County collected 11 hits in the game. Jayda Boateng drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Lady Cats with two runs batted in went 3-5 on the night. Bell County had a strong eye at the plate, having six walks in the game. Kenley Foster and Hannah Fetters led the team with two free passes each.

 

Williamsburg Lady Jackets will be back in action Friday Night as they will host Somerset Christian School Lady Cougars gametime is set for 6:00 PM

 

Bell County Lady Cats will be back in action Thursday Night as they host the Barbourville Lady Tigers gametime is set for 5:30 PM

 

Williamsburg will fall to 0-4 on the young season, Bell County will improve to 2-5 on the young season.
