(Somerset, KY) The South Laurel traveled up to Southwestern High School to take on the Southwestern Lady Warriors on Friday Night.
In the top of the first inning the Lady Cardinals didn't take long to get on the board when a home run to right field put South Laurel on the board. They added to the lead in the second, when Addison Baker, Morgan Jackson, and Kenzie Williams all drove in runs. In the third inning Skye Lawson and Audrey Likings drove in runs.
Kenzie Williams got the win for the Lady Cardinals, he gave up 3 hits, zero runs over five innings, striking out three and only walking one batter. Jordyn McDonald took the loss for the Lady Warriors. She went four innings, giving up eight runs (six earned), nine hits, striking out one and only walking one batter.
The Lady Cardinals had 13 hits in the game
