(Baxter, KY) The Harlan County Lady Black Bears played host to the Bell County Lady Cats in 52nd District action on Tuesday evening.
The Lady Black Bears got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning after a Lady Cat error allowed two runs to score, and then on a pass ball allowed another run to score. In the third inning they added two more runs off of an error. Harlan County scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. When Lindsey Skidmore singled, allowed one run to score. Maddy Blair drew a walk allowed one run to score. Jade Burton singled, allowed two more runs to score. Rylie Maggard grounded out allowed one run to score.
Alexis Adams earned the win for the Black Bears. She went five inning, while only giving up one hit on zero runs, striking out 12 and walking two. Adyson Scott took the loss for the Lady Cats. She went four innings, allowed 10 runs, on five hits, striking out five and walking two.
Jayda Boateng went 1-2 for the Lady Cats.
Brittleigh Estep, Jade Burton, Rylie Maggard, and Lindsey Skidmore each had one run batted in. Jade Burton also went 303 from the plate.
Up Next for the Bell County Lady Cats, they will be back in action on Thursday as they will travel to Ewing, VA to take on the Thomas Walker Lady Pioneers, game-time is set for 5:30 PM.
