(Baxter, KY) As News Break yesterday that Trent Noah was released from his NIL deal at the University of South Carolina. When he said that he wanted to play closer to home, it got a lot of people thinking could he end up at the University of Kentucky to play in Rupp Arena, where he just got done playing in the KHSAA Boys Basketball Sweet 16 Basketball Tournament.
Yesterday afternoon Trent Noah did indeed commit to the University of Kentucky to play under newly named head coach Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats.
Noah time in High School had a lot of big achievements, Including a WYMT Mountain Classic Championship in 2023. a 3 time 52nd District Tournament Championship in 2020, 2022, and in 2023. A 13th Region Championship in 2023. A KHSAA Boys Sweet Sixteen Basketball Tournament Runner-up in 2023. A Smoky Mountain Winter Classic Championship in 2022. A Seahawk Holiday Classic Runner-up in 2021. A Harlan County Extravaganza Holiday Tournament Championship in 2021. A 52nd District Tournament Runner-up in 2021. A 13th Region Tournament Runner-up in 2020.
The biggest accomplishment was on February 17 a game at home against Boyd County Trent Noah broke a Harlan County Scoring record in a victory at home.
Trent Noah had a great post season run on the way to a state runners-up:
- In the first round of the 52nd District Tournament against Middlesboro, Noah had 30 points, 9-13 from the field, 2-4 from three, 6-7 from the free throw line, and grabbed 8 rebounds.
- In the Championship game of the 52nd District Tournament against Bell County, Noah had 33 points, 9-14 from the field, 3-8 from three, 6-6 from the free throw line, and grabbed 14 rebounds.
- In the 1st round of the 13th Region Tournament against South Laurel, Noah had 18 points, 4-8 from the field, 1-3 from three, 7-9 from the free throw line, and grabbed 11 rebounds
- In the semi-finals of the 13th Region Tournament against Clay County, Noah had 43 points, 10-14 from the field, 2-8 from three, and 17-20 from the free throw line, and grabbed 15 rebounds
- In the Championship game of the 13th Region Tournament against Corbin, Noah had 14 points, 3-6 from the field, 1-2 from three, 5-5 from the free throw line, and grabbed 10 rebounds
- In the First round of the UK Healthcare Boys Basketball Sweet 16 Tournament against Warren Central, Noah had 35 points, 5-11 from the field, 6-8 from three, 7-9 from the free throw line, and grabbed 11 rebounds
- In the quarter-finals of the UK Healthcare Boys Basketball Sweet 16 Tournament against Campbell County, Noah had 48 points, 9-13 from the field, 7-10 from three, 9-9 from the free throw line, and grabbed 10 rebounds.
- In the semi-finals of the UK Healthcare Boys Basketball Sweet 16 Tournament against Evangel Christian, Noah had 29 points, 2-6 from the field, 3-7 from the three, 16-18 from the free Throw line, and grabbed 10 rebounds.
- In the Championship game of the UK Healthcare Boys Basketball Sweet 16 Tournament against Lyon County, Noah had 17 points, 4-6 from the field, 3-9 from three, 0-0 from the free throw line, and grabbed 9 rebounds.
In Trent Noah post season run he had 267 points, 55-91 (60.4%) from the field, 28-59 (47.4%) from three, 73-83 (87.9%) from the free throw line, and grabbed 88 Rebounds.
