(Harrodsburg, KY) The South Laurel Lady Cardinals hit the road to take on the Mercer County Titans.
Mercer County opened up the scoring in the first inning thanks to two singles, by Ava Musick singled, allowing two runs to score. They extended their early lead in the bottom of the third inning thanks to two RBI singles by Ashley Howard and then Peyton Boyd.
Ashley Howard earned the victory for the Titans, she went 5.2 innings, she allowed six hits on two runs (zero earned), walking one batter, and striking out 7. Ava Musick came into for relief, she went 1.1 innings, only walking 1 batter.
Kenzie Williams took the loss for the Lady Cardinals, she went 6.0 innings, 4 hits, 5 runs (2 earned), 2 walks, and 8 strikeouts.
Up Next for the Titans, they will be back in action on Saturday as they will travel to Hazard, KY to compete in the Lady Dore Triangle #1: there first game is against the Perry County Central Lady Commodores at 11:30 AM. Game number 2 will be against the Lawrence County Lady Bulldogs, that game-time is set for 1:30 PM
