Lexington Catholic rolls past Montgomery County to advance to the 2024 Clark's Pump-N-Shop Softball State Tournament

(Lexington, KY) It's game number three of day number two of the 2024 Clark's Pump-N-Shop Softball State Tournament, it will feature the champions out of the 10th Region the Montgomery County Lady Indians verses the champions out of the 11th Region the Lexington Catholic Knights.

 

The Knights got on the board first when they put a 4 spot on the board thanks to a Homerun by Ava Emmert it was a 3 run homerun. A double by Caitlyn Kelley on a RBI Double.

 

In the top of the second inning the Knights added 2 runs to the board thanks to a double by Aevea Mosley-Franklin making the score 6-0 after 2 innings of play.

 

In the top of the third inning the Knights added another 4 runs to the board thanks to Aevea Mosley-Franklin on a RBI Single. Then a Home Run by Ava Emmert on a 3 run shot, making the score 10-0 Knights after 3 innings of play.

 

In the fourth inning the Knights added another 3 runs to the board thanks to a double by Abby Hammond making the score 13-0 Knights

 

The Lady Indians got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning when a double by Reaghan Oney RBI double makes it 13-1 Lexington Catholic.

In the top of the fifth inning the Knights added two runs to the board thanks to a RBI double by Kinley Willoughby

Lexington Catholic will advance to the quarterfinals of the 2024 Clark's Pump-N-Shop Softball State Tournament will face the South Warren Spartans tomorrow at 5:30 PM at John Cropp Stadium.
