(Williamsburg, KY) The Whitley County Colonels are off to a solid start in this early soccer season, with a 7-0 victory over the Barbourville Tigers. Head Coach Michael Branhan has his team playing with confidence and precision, and the results are evident.
Leading the offensive charge was Jacob Senters, who netted a hat trick to propel the Colonels to victory. Brody Moses contributed a goal and two assists. Tucker Hale kept up his solid play with a goal, while D’Shawn Henderson added a goal and an assist to the mix. Levi Huddleston and Bryson Mahan, a promising ninth grader, also chipped in with assists.
Defensively, Whitley County was just as strong. The Colonels recorded their second consecutive shutout, stifling a talented Barbourville squad. Goalkeeper JaVon Rider was exceptional, making four saves while also contributing a goal and an assist. Landen Rose was equally impressive in the backline, recording five saves.
