(Winchester, KY) It's time for Game two of the 2024 Girls Volleyball State Tournament State Semi-Finals. Game two will feature the Champions out of the 7th Region the Assumption Rockets verses the Champions out of the 9th Region the Notre Dame Academy Pandas.
Assumption Rockets comes in with a record of 33-8 overall, 11-0 inside the 7th Region, and 3-0 inside the 26th District. Notre Dame Academy Pandas comes in with a record of 33-3 overall, 13-0 inside the 9th Region, and inside the 4-0 inside the 35th District.
Assumption has the 20th ranked RPI in the State, while Notre Dame Academy has the 2nd ranked RPI in the State.
These two teams have played twice this season so far. On October 5 Notre Dame won 2-0. Then on October 15 Notre Dame won 3-2
Assumption will have the first serve. Assumption rolled out of the gate leading 4-0 before the Pandas got on the board. Notre Dame Academy after trailing has tied the game up at 9. Assumption has retaken the lead 10-9. Again after Notre Dame finds themselves down they tie the game up at 11. Then the Rockets retake the lead back. Pandas get a point back to make it 8-7 Rockets. The Pandas have tied this game up at 8 in the third set. The game is tied once again at 9. Then the Rockets retake the lead. They have extended there lead to 11-9. Pandas have trimmed the lead down to one by the score of 11-10. Notre Dame has once again tied the game up at 11. Notre Dame has retaken the lead at 12-11.
