(Corbin, KY) Corbin's second game of the season and coming out with a win by the score of 80-25. They're now (2-0) on the season handing Barbourville their first loss of the season making them (1-1) on thee season.
Led by Senior Kylie Clem tonight who turned out impressive scoring efforts against the Lady Tigers. It wasn’t just her scoring efforts it was her ability to create so many turnovers and passing abilities that led to the win. With her outstanding scoring abilities no matter where she was on that court she couldn’t miss. She created an impressive amount of turnovers and wouldn’t even let the other team get down the court.
Addy Wilson was unstoppable on the three points tonight and was a scoring machine for the Red hounds tonight. Within a 1 minute range Addy had a turnover that led to a three and then two more turnovers that led to a three point that were back to back to back and all under a minute.
The rest of Corbin’s team stepped up and wasn’t able to be stopped. Kylie Clem caused a turnover with a pass to Addy Wilson as mentioned before turned to three back to back three pointers in under a minute span. Clem caused another turnover two minutes later and Regan Walker scored with a two point. Then directly after that Regan caused another turnover and led to a two point. All in just the first half of the game.
Lydia King a Sophomore for the lady Redhounds had such an impressive Defensive game that led to balls not being able to get into play, denied shots and so much more. Lydia King is one that you got to watch on defensive due to her aggressive playing style. By the second half the JV team had stepped into the ball game to get some revenge. The JV team kept the lead up and played as hard as the Varsity team. No matter what part of the game you watched from beginning to end was all a team effort. The spirits were really high on the bench and on the court. If you couldn’t find the players on the court talking you could hear them from the bench.
