There is no cure for this disease and the disease is very rare.
Per The TBCK Foundation
"TBCK Syndrome is a rare neurogentic disorder caused by mutations in the TBCK gene"
What does all this mean?
- TBCK syndrome is a rare genetic condition that affects how the brain develops and works. It happens because of a change (mutation) in the TBCK gene, which plays an important role in cell growth and communication in the body.
- Since the brain controls things like movement, learning, and breathing, children with TBCK syndrome often have challenges with muscle strength (hypotonia), developmental skills, seizures (epilepsy), and breathing problems.
- Because TBCK syndrome is so rare, doctors and researchers are still learning more about it. However, therapies and medical support can help improve the quality of life for those affected.
This is more than basketball this is life.
We at the Bryant Family Medicine All Sports Media would like everyone to pray for this family and that one day that there is a cure for this awful disease
Lets all pray together that these three children can be cured from this disease
We are all praying for you, and praying for Wayne County and the city of Monticello
