The Bell County 8th Grade Middle School Bobcats won their 2nd straight Middle School Regional Championship in two seasons. This 8th grade class as 7th graders won the title and one year later repeated as Regional Champions.

The Bobcats defeated Clay County with a score of 39 - 17 in the opening round of play. Then the Bobcats followed up with a 57 - 29 win over South Laurel in their second match.

That set up the Regional Championship game with Pineville. And after a 7-7 tie at the end of 1st quarter, and the score going back and forth the next two quarters. Bell County pulled away to win in the end after Luke Thomas got loose on a backdoor cut taking a pass from Braxton Ferguson on the left baseline and hitting a crucial free-throw. Cameron Beckett hit a deep bomb from straight away for three and went four for four from the line in the fourth helping seal the Championship by a score of 32 - 28.

Braxton Ferguson was named the 13th Region Tournament MVP, after he helped lead his 8th grade Bobcats to the Regional Title. Ferguson poured in 59 points in the three tournament games and averaged 8 Rebounds and 6 Assist per game.

CONGRATULATIONS BOBCATS ON BACK 2 BACK REGIONAL TITLES!!!
