(Corbin, KY) It's the semi-finals of the Kentucky 2A- Section 7 Tournament between the visiting Bell County Bobcats and the home team Corbin Redhounds. The winner of this game will meet the Clay County Tigers for the Kentucky 2A- Section 7 Championship game.
Noah Cima drove in five runs on two hits to lead the Redhounds past the Bobcats. Cima hit a grand slam to left field in the third inning, scoring four runs, and singled in the third inning, scoring two.
Corbin won thanks in part to 10 runs in the third inning. Cima singled scoring two runs, Clay Botner singled, scoring one run, Walker Landrum singled, scoring two runs, an error scoring one run, and Cima hit a grand slam to left field.
Corbin opened up the scoring in the bottom of the second thanks to two walks, Corbin got on the board first when Lucas Tavin drew a walk, scoring one run.
Cruz Cima earned the win for the Redhounds, gave up four hits on zero runs, over four innings, striking out six and walking none. Cooper Brock took the loss for the Bobcats. They went two and two-thirds inning, surrendering 12 runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking six.
Corbin accumulated nine hits in the game. Kade Elam led the Redhounds with two walks. Overall Corbin had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Landrum and Cima each stole multiple bases for the Redhounds. Corbin as a team stole 10 bases, they didn't commit an error as a team on defense. Mikey Neal had the most chances in the field with eight.
Brock, Jackson Walters, Austin Gooding, and Daniel Thomas each collected one hit for the Bobcats.
Corbin will be back in action will be on Thursday as they will host Rockcastle County game time at 6:00 PM (This game is pending on when the Championship game is scheduled)
Bell County will be back in action on Thursday as they will travel to Somerset, KY to take on the Somerset Christian School Cougars game time is at 6:00 PM
