Lady Maroons gets past Lady Cardinals 3-1

(London, KY) Two great teams meet up on Thursday Night as the Pulaski County Lady Maroons take on the South Laurel Lady Cardinals at South Laurel High School.

 

Both teams were strong in the circle on Thursday Night, but the Lady Maroons was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-1 victory over the Lady Cardinals. Kenzie Williams started the game for the Lady Cardinals and recorded 21 outs.

 

Pulaski County was the first on the bard in the sixth inning when Chloe Carroll singled, and scoring one run.

 

Bella Ellis earned the win for the Lady Maroons, the right-handed pitcher gave up seven hits and one run over seven innings, striking out three and walking two. Kenzie Williams took the loss for the Lady Cardinals, she went seven innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking none.

 

Addison Baker and Bailey Fraizer each collected two hits for the Lady Cardinals. Addison Baker led the Lady Cardinals with one run batted in, she went 2-4 on the night.

 

Carroll led the Lady Maroons with two hits in three at bats.

 

Up next for the Lady Cardinals they will be back in action tomorrow night as they will host the Harlan County Lady Black Bears gametime at 6:00 PM

 

Up next for the Lady Maroons they will be back in action on April 6 as they will travel to Elizabethtown, KY to play in the Heartland Mini Golf Lady Panther Classic being played at Elizabethtown Sports Park: they will be playing two games that day. At 1:15 PM Hickman County Lady Falcons, and at 3:00 PM DuPont Manual Lady  Crimsons.
