In an exciting matchup, the South Laurel team emerged victorious over Oxford Hills with a final score of 9-5.

Oxford Hills struck first, putting two runs on the board in the opening inning with a powerful homer to center field. However, South Laurel quickly responded, seizing control of the game in the top of the third inning. Through a series of well-executed singles by Emmie Rice, Bailey Frazier, Skye Lawson, and Ryleigh Bretz, South Laurel surged ahead, taking a 5-2 lead.

Oxford Hills fought back, managing to tie the game in the fourth inning with timely singles. However, South Laurel wasn't ready to relinquish their lead. In the top of the fifth inning, they rallied once again, reclaiming the advantage and extending their lead to 9-5. Ryleigh Bretz played a crucial role in this inning, contributing a sacrifice fly, while Audrey Likins doubled, and South Laurel capitalized on an error by Oxford. Additionally, they capitalized on a wild pitch to further bolster their lead.
