(Pigeon Forge, TN) Addi Watson collected three hits in four at bats for the Lady Wolverines as they defeat the Harlan County Lady Black Bears 11-0. Addi Watson hit an inside the park homerun in the fifth inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning.
Lady Wolverine jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Karington Briscoe tripled, scoring one run, and Ellie Roberts hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs.
A single by Watson extended the Western Hills lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning. Lady Wolverine extended there lead with three runs in the bottom of the third inning thanks to a RBI singles by Makayla Muravchick, Watson and Kylie Markin.
Western Hills added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on three hits. Alli Jones singled, scoring one run and Watson hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs.
Addi Watson got the victory for the Lady Wolverine. She allowed two hits on zero runs over five innings of work. She struck out seven and walking none. Alexis Adams took the loss for the Lady Black Bears she went two innings, surrendering five runs on five hits, striking out two and walking five.
Western Hills tallied 13 hits in the game. Roberts, Markin, and Loukya Akula each collected multiple hits, Jones had two walks. Lady Wolverines had five walks as a team. Jones and Akula each sole multiple bases. As a team the Lady Wolverine stole five bases, and they also turned one double play in the game.
Halanah Shepherd and Rylie Maggard each collected one hit for the Lady Black Bears. They turned one double play on defense.
