
(Myrtle Beach, SC) It was game number 3 for the South Laurel Cardinals in the Cal Ripken Experience. There opponent today is the Spencerport, NY Rangers.
South Laurel opened up the scoring in the first inning after Hunter Bundy tripled, scoring one run.
Spencerport captured the lead back in the top of the second inning after Nicholas Freville singed, Noah Barravecchia singled, and Kyle Milburn hit into a double play, each scoring one run.
Spencerport scored six runs on five hits in the top of the third inning. An error scored two runs. Barravecchia singled, scoring one run, Milburn singled, scoring one run, Doan Foos singled after tagging up, and Frank Grad singled, scoring one run.
Frank Grad earned the win for the Rangers, While only giving up two hits on two runs over five innings, striking out six and walking two. Tyler Curry pitched three and two third innings in relief for the Cardinals, while giving up eight hits and seven runs (two earned( while striking out one and walking two. Keaton Creech took the loss for the Cardinals, surrendering five runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking two.
Bundy led the Cardinals with one run batted in. Jack Vaughn and Bundy each collected one hit. They also turned one double play in the game.
Spencerport tallied 15 hits in the game. Barravecchia, Milburn, and Josh Winter each collected three hits in the game. Barravecchia Milburn, and Lorenzo Tantalo each drove in two runs. Foos collected two hits in three at bats. The Rangers turned one double play in the game on defense.
