Fort Walton Beach, FL) It was game number 3 of the Florida Softball Beach Bash for the Lady Jaguars there first opponent of the day will be against the Owensboro Lady Devils
The bottom of the lineup helped the Lady Jaguars get the victory over the Lady Devils of Owensboro. Katie Keen, Emma Carl, and Bella Finley combined for seven of the North Laurel 14 hits they had. They scored seven runs and drove in three.
Emma Carl collected three hits in three at bats, also had a homerun to center field in the second inning, singled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Lady Devils opened the scoring in the first inning after Hessi Johnson singled, and scoring one run.
Lady Jaguars jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first inning, when Braylee Fawbush drew a walk, scoring one run, and Morgan Edwards singled, scoring two runs. Lady Jaguars scored nine runs on eight hits in the bottom of the second inning. Railey Scott induced Katie Sams to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Saige McClure doubled, scoring two runs. Bella Sizemore singled, scoring one run, and error scored one run. Bella Finley singled, scoring one run. Emma Carl homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Saige McClure singled, scoring one run.
Tessa Monhollen earned the win for the Jaguars, she gave up five hits on four runs (one earned) over five innings of work, while striking out four and walking one. Scott took the loss for the Lady Devils, surrendering 10 runs (seven earned) on eight hits, while striking out two and walking one.
Lady Jaguars piled up 14 hits in the game. McClure, Keen, and Carl each collected 3 hits. McClure led the Lady Jaguars with 4 runs batted in and going 3-4 on the day. Edwards collected two hits while going to the plate 4 times.
Emily Hayden, Hayley Sikes, Keeley Harris, Johnson, and Reese Bosell each collected on hit for the Lady Devils. Hayden, Alyssa Rhineburger, Sikes, and Johnson each drove in one run.
