A groundout by Bretz gave the Lady Cardinals the lead 3-1 in the top of the fourth inning. Emmie Rice homered to center field, scoring two run in the fifth inning. Kenzie Williams earned the win for the South Laurel Lady Cardinals, she allowed six hits and five runs (four earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking none. Fitzgerald took the loss for the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack, she went seven innings, giving up 10 runs (four earned) on 10 hits, striking out six and walking two.
Lady Cardinals collected 10 hits in the game, Rice drove the middle of the lineup going 1-4 on the day, with two runs batted in. Amara Horn, showed the depth of South Laurel leading them with three hits in four at bats. Baker and Morgan Jackson each collected multiple hits for the Lady Cardinals.
Samantha Steinhofer provided the pop in the middle of the lineup, leading the Wolfpack with two runs batted in ang going 2-3 on the day.
