
In a close matchup with two of the 13th Region's best, South Laurel emerged victorious over Corbin with a final score of 2-0. Despite being out-hit by Corbin, South Laurel managed to secure the win thanks to another stellar pitching performance by Kenzie Williams.
South Laurel wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, as Emmie Rice delivered a clutch single in the first inning, driving in a run and giving her team an early lead. Amara Horn further contributed to South Laurel's hopes for winning by driving in another run.
While Corbin threatened with their hits, South Laurel was solid on defense, led by Kenzie Williams on the mound, held strong, preventing any runs from crossing the plate.
With the win, South Laurel improves to an impressive 12-4 record and looks ahead to their next challenge against Whitley County on Thursday. On the other hand, Corbin will regroup as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against Jackson County on Thursday.
