
(Harlan, KY) Coming off a big win against South Laurel, the Lady Jackets look to maintain their hot streak against 52nd District foe Harlan on the road. The Lady Dragons look to stay perfect in district play against the Middlesboro Lady Jackets.
The Lady Dragons bats where hot they accumulated 17 hits in the game, while the Lady Jackets accumulated 10 hits in the game. A very high scoring game.
Addison Jackson put the Lady Dragons on the board first in the bottom of the first inning. Middlesboro took back the lead in the top of the second inning when Alexis Middleton singled, then Madison Melton drew a walk. To the third inning we go when the Lady Dragons took back the lead when Jordyn Smith doubled, then Ava Nunez singled. As we advance to the top of the fifth inning, the Lady Jackets got there bats a going when they scored seven runs and had seven hits to take the lead 10-7. Didn't take the Lady Dragons long to get going back in the bottom of the inning when they tied the game at 10 after Farley had a sacrifice fly, followed by an error. In the bottom of the sixth inning the Lady Dragons broke the tie to take the lead 13-10, when Farley doubled scoring two runs, then an error to score the 13th run of the game for the Lady Dragons.
For the Lady Dragons, Farley and Hensley had 2 hits. Lisenbee, Jackson Fields, and Nunez had multiple hits. Farley had 2 stolen bases for the Lady Dragons, and as a team the Lady Dragons stole 5 bases.
For the Lady Jackets, Lawson and Middleton had two hits, while Middleton had three runs batted in and going 2-4 on the night. Kaylee Lawson had 2 walks for Middlesboro. As a team the Lady Jackets collected six walks.
