
(Corbin, KY) The South Laurel Lady Cardinals and the Corbin Lady Redhounds did battle in a very high interesting matchup from Corbin High School.
Kenzie Williams hit a sacrifice fly to open up the scoring in the first inning to get the Lady Cardinals on the board. Skye Lawson added a run in the top of the second inning, when she hit a solo homerun to center field to extend their lead to 2-0. Morgan Jackson single in the third inning extended to Lady Cardinal lead to 3-0.
The Lady Redhounds got on the board in the bottom of the third inning when Hicks grounded out to the shortstop allowing Housley to score to trim the Lady Cardinals lead down to two making the score 3-1.
No one scored in the fourth inning.
The Lady Cardinals added a run in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings thanks to Rice Double, Jackson Double, and Homerun by Bretz.
