The Barbourville Tigers emerged triumphant over Model, securing an impressive 8-3 victory.
Model started the game with a bang, seizing the initiative and notching up runs in both the first and second innings, seemingly setting the stage for a dominant performance. However, Barbourville had other plans.
With a combination of precision hitting and steadfast defense, Barbourville slowly but surely clawed their way back into contention. The turning point came in the bottom of the third inning when Conor West's timely single and Colby Peters' clutch double leveled the score at three apiece, injecting a surge of energy into the Tigers' dugout.
But Barbourville was far from finished. In a breathtaking display of offensive firepower, they exploded in the bottom of the fourth inning, racking up an astounding five runs on six hits to firmly seize control of the game. The highlight of the inning came courtesy of Ty Clark, whose blistering hit narrowly missed sailing over the fence, but nonetheless cleared the bases.
On the mound, Luke Hillard delivered a masterful performance, earning the win. Despite conceding just one hit, Hillard showcased his resilience by striking out seven batters and issuing only two walks.
