(Barbourville, KY) It's game number 2 of the 13th Region Baseball Tournament, it will feature the champions out of the 52nd District the Harlan Green Dragons and the runners-up from the 51st District the Barbourville Tigers.
The Barbourville Tigers got on the board first in the top of the first inning thanks to West Double allowing two runs to score.
It didn't take long for the Green Dragons to get on the board When Luttrell doubles allowing two runs to score to tie the game up at 2 a piece.
In the top of the second inning the Tigers add a 5 spot on the board thanks to Hillard reaching on an error. Ty Clark getting hit by a pitch. Peters double allowing two runs to score. Making the score 7-2 Barbourville.
In the bottom of the second inning Varner walks allowed one run to score off of a passed ball during the at bat.
Score remained 7-3 until the top of the fifth inning until the Tigers added a run thanks to Peters steal of home to make the score 8-3.
The Green Dragons exploded for 9 runs in the bottom of the inning, thanks to Sharps double, allowing two runs to score. Brewers fielder's choice allowing one run to score. Varner reaches on an error allowing one run to score. Owens double allowing two runs to score. Moore single allowing one run to score. Montanaro singles allowing one run to score. The Green Dragons will advance to the semi-finals of the 13th Region Baseball Tournament, will play the Corbin Redhounds today at 5:30 PM at Knox Central High School.
