The Colonels got on the board first when a double by Wilson scores Allen, making the score 1-0. Then a single by Osborne allows Bryant to score to make it 2-0 Whitley County.
Corbin was able to get on the board in the bottom of the first inning when a Home Run by Cima hit to left field making the score 2-1 Whitley County. Then a Triple by Estep allows Elam and Merida to score to give the Redhounds the 3-2 lead.
In the bottom of the second inning the Redhounds added one run thanks to a double by Elam allows Cima to score making it 4-2 Redhounds. They extended there lead in the bottom of the third inning when Gilbert grounds out allows Helton to score making the score 5-2 Corbin. Then a single by Cima allows Botner to score making it 6-2 Redhounds.
Whitley County would add a run in the top of the seventh inning when a single by Anderson allows Parker to score, making it 6-3 Corbin, but it would be too little to late for the Colonels.

Also came into for relief was Walton he went 3.0 innings, he gave up 1 hit, had 2 walks, and had 3 Strikeouts.
Started on the mound for the Redhounds was Gilbert, he went 7.0 innings, gave up 6 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk, and had 7 Strikeouts. He got the win for the Redhounds.
The Corbin Redhounds will advance to the 2024 Clark's Pump-N-Shop Baseball State Tournament will play on June 7 at 5:00 PM against the Owensboro Catholic Aces at Legends Park in Lexington, KY
