North Laurel Lady Jaguars come into the 2024 Clark's Pump-N-Shop Softball State Tournament with a record of 28 - 9. The Lady Jaguars are red hot and coming off of big wins against Letcher County Central and Boyd County.
Assumption Rockets come into the 2024 Clark's Pump-N-Shop Softball State Tournament with a record of 29 -11. The Rockets are scorching hot and coming off of big wins against Highlands and Daviess County.
North Laurel has a RPI of .59328. Assumption has a RPI .62496. If you go by RPI then Assumption has the advantage. But at this time of the season, you can throw RPI to the side. It's all about heart and the will to win.
Today we seen an amazing pitching performance by Assumption's Lauren Satterly and a great performance at the plate by Assumption's Paige Crain. We got to see a magical come back in the 7th inning and an amazing pitching performance by North Laurel's Emma Carl and a great performance by North Laurel's Saige McClure.
Both teams have showed the heart of a champion and the will to win. Both teams are led by amazing student athletes, great coaching staffs and their fan bases are second to none.
If you want my prediction of the winner ........... my prediction is that we all win because we will get to watch two amazing teams go against each other on June 14th at 3:30pm
