MBP All Stars could keep up with Marion County and fell 15-3 on Sunday.
MBP All Stars opened the scoring in the first after Keevie Betts scored after tagging up.
Then Marion County got on the board when they scored six runs in the top of the second inning to take a 6-1. The biggest hit of the inning when Thompson drove in three runs on a RBI double. Then Marion County added to there lead when Farris singled, and then they scored on a pass ball each scoring one run.
Marion County scored seven runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Gibson doubled, scoring one run. Strut singled, scoring one run. Benningfield singled, scoring one run. Craig drew a walk, scoring one run. Then an two error scored two run for Marion County All Stars.
Mattingly earned the win for the Marion County All Stars. She gave up five hits on three runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking two.
For MBP All Stars Adyson Scott took the loss, she went three innings, gave up seven runs (five earned) on five hits, striking out one and walking two.
Keevie Betts set the tone for the MBP All Stars with two hits in three at bats. Keena Lawson and Abby Jackson each drove in one run. Keevie Betts stole two bases.
The MBP All Stars turned one double play on defense
Marion County All Stars had 12 hits in the game. They was led by Gibbons and Strut each collected three hits. Thompson and Gibbons each drove in three runs. Benningfield and Farris had multiple hits. Benningfield, Thompson, Strut, Craig, and Farris had stole multiple bases for the Marion County All Stars.
There will be a game number 2 to determine who will represent Kentucky in the Senior League Regionals to determine who will have a change to advance to the Senior League World Series in Delaware.
