Lady Eagles shut out Lady Jackets 3-0

(Fort Walton Beach, FL) This is the Lady Jackets of Middlesboro fourth game in the Florida Softball Beach Bash. This is the Lady Eagles of Campbellsville third game in the Florida Softball Beach Bash.

 

Both teams were strong in the circle on Wednesday, but the Lady Eagles was a litter bit stronger at the plate in their 3-0 Victory over the Lady Jackets. Kenna Lawson started the game for the Lady Jackets recording 15 outs.

 

A double by Gabby Bright put Campbellsville on the bard in the top of the first inning. A single by Aubreigh Knifley extened the Lady Eagles lead to 3-0 in the top of the second inning.

 

 

River McFarland earned the win for Campbellsville, she surrendered two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Lawson took the loss for the Lady Jackets, she went five innings, allowing three runs (zero earned) on six hits, striking out none and walking none.

 

Kaylee Lawson and Keevie Betts were a force together in the lineup, as each collected one hit for the Lady Jackets while hitting back to back. 

 

Knifley, the nine hole hitter for the Lady Eagles, led the way with two runs batted in, and going 1-3 on the day. Keeley Dicken, Miley Hash, Bright, Lily Murphy, Riley Underwood, and Knifley each collected one hit for the Eagles.

 

Up Next for the Lady Jackets they will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as they will play Edmonson County in Fort Walton Beach, FL at 1:00 PM in there last game of the Florida Softball Beach Bash.
