(Lexington, KY) Whitley County traveled up to Lexington, KY to take on the Lexington Christian Academy Eagles.
Whitley County got on the board first in the top of the first inning, thanks to Matthew Wright's double, and Jason Nunley single, each scoring one run.
EJ Allen earned the victory for the Colonels, he allowed two hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking none. Andrew Dixon took the loss for the Eagles. He went three and one-third innings, surrendering three runs (two earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking two. Bradyn Bargo Christian Wilson, Trey Walton, and Kip Allen each came on in relief for the Colonels to help shut down the Eagles.
The Colonels collected 10 hits in the game. Matthew Wright provided the pop in the middle of the line-up, with two runs batted in. He went 1-3 on the day. Tayler Rose, Hunter Wilson, and Jason Nunley each collected two hits. The Colonels had four stolen bases in the game.
Seam Pearson and Tyler King each had two hits the Eagles. While Tony Dutton led the team with one run batted in.
