North on a five game winning streak

In a 49th District softball matchup, the North Laurel Jaguars were firing on all cylinders, securing a commanding victory over Clay County with a final score of 13-0.

Right out of the gate, the Jaguars showed their strength as Bella Sizemore delivered a powerful double, bringing in the first run of the game. However, they were just getting started. In an explosive second inning, North Laurel unleashed a barrage of runs, extending their lead to 7-0. The inning was highlighted by Bella Finley's impressive homer, which brought in two more runs. Saige McClure added to the tally with a sacrifice fly, and Bella Sizemore continued her stellar performance with another double, bringing in another run. Ellie Adams then capped off the inning with a clutch single, driving in two more runs.

On the defensive end, pitcher Emma Carl showcased her skills, earning the victory for North Laurel. Carl delivered an outstanding performance, allowing only 2 hits and no runs while striking out 5 batters and issuing 3 walks across five innings.

With this impressive win, North Laurel improves to a record of 10-6. Their next challenge awaits as they prepare to take on Lincoln County at home tomorrow.
